| Mamata Withdraws Support |
Saying the Congress should seek individual’s verdict before going after "impractical, anti-people" guidelines like FDI in retail and hiking diesel prices, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday stated there could be no going back on the choice to withdraw support in the UPA regime.
"We can't allow FDI in retail. We can't pursue such anti-people and impractical guidelines within the title of reforms. We'll stay with our opposition and we'll still oppose it," stated Banerjee, even the West Bengal chief minister.
Advocating the Congress is going for polls before going after guidelines like retail FDI and diesel cost hike, she stated people will give a suitable for answer individuals who would like to sell the nation.
"We oppose such guidelines, which mean selling the whole country within the title of reforms. Why don't you allow the people choose these problems? They (Congress) should visit the individual’s court before going after anti-people guidelines. Because in democracy it's the public which provide the last verdict," stated Banerjee.
