Keeping options open just in case from the last-minute break-up, both BJP and also the JD (U) in Bihar have begun planning to contest all 40 Lok Sabha seats individually.

The JD (U) national representative, Shivanand Tiwari, however, wasn't surprised about Thakur's statement.
"If Thakur has stated the BJP is planning for those 40 seats, the JD (U), too, is making its formulations to contest all seats. There's no problem inside it. Political parties make such formulations bearing in mind any scenario."
He stated the JD (U)'s preparation was due to the fact "the party doesn't desire to be caught not aware just in case our ally decides to sever ties around.”
Tiwari stated, "In politics, it is usually smart to be ready for those seats. Nobody knows what's available."
He, too, eliminated any chance of break-in the alliance. "At the moment, there's no tension, no irritant with a problem between us which can lead to break-in the alliance," Tiwari stated.
